Jerrod Ramos, who is charged with killing five employees of The Capital newspaper in Annapolis, reportedly sent three “threatening letters” before last week’s shooting. The Baltimore Sun reports that the paper’s former attorney turned over a letter signed by Ramos, claiming he was on his way to their newsroom “with the objective of killing every person present.” The lawyer received the letter on Monday, but it was dated June 28, the day of the shooting. Police also say Ramos mailed two other letters to Maryland’s Court of Special Appeals and a Baltimore City judge, but declined to describe them further. Ramos has been charged with five counts of first-degree murder.
