President Donald Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen has participated in “multiple interview sessions” with special counsel Robert Mueller’s office over the past month, ABC News reports. The interview sessions reportedly lasted “hours” and focused on “all aspects of Trump’s dealings with Russia,” particularly “financial and business dealings.” The interviews took place in Washington, D.C., and New York, and were attended by prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York. Cohen’s participation in the interviews has been “voluntary,” and he has not received “any guarantee of leniency from prosecutors.” The network also reports that Cohen is cooperating in another investigation by New York state authorties into “the inner workings of the Trump family charity and the Trump Organization.” Cohen's attorney, Lanny Davis, congratulated Cohen for “providing critical information” to the Mueller investigation without a cooperation deal. “No one should question his honesty, veracity or loyalty to his family and country over [Trump],” Davis wrote on Twitter. Last month, Cohen pleaded guilty to eight federal counts, including five counts of tax evasion.
