Central Intelligence Agency director Mike Pompeo has been using intelligence back-channels to make preparations for a meeting between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, CNN reports. Administration officials cited by CNN say U.S. and North Korean officials have already spoken and even met in a third country to discuss a potential location for the high-level meeting. North Korean officials are reportedly pushing to hold the meeting in Pyongyang, while the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar is being considered as another potential meeting site. The timeline for the meeting, which Trump reportedly agreed to without consulting his advisers last month, remains unclear but officials have suggested late May or June as the target date.
