Sandy Hook Classes to Resume

Last month’s deadly massacre in Newtown, Conn., will not be forgotten, but normalcy is slowly returning to the scarred town. Students at Sandy Hook Elementary will resume classes on Thursday in a vacant school building in the nearby town of Monroe, while their old school remains closed. The shooting, which killed 20 students and six adults, was one of the all-time deadliest in the country. Meanwhile, a lawyer seeking to sue the state for $100 million on behalf of a young survivor has withdrawn his claim, and Connecticut’s attorney general says claims that the state could have prevented harm are without basis.
