Sharon Bush—the ex-wife of Neil Bush and the mother of three of George H.W. Bush’s grandchildren—wasn’t invited to the former president’s funeral, she’s told Page Six. Sharon reportedly told her ex-husband that she wanted to pay her respects at the funeral and sit with her three kids—Lauren, Pierce, and Ashley. But Neil’s secretary told her there wasn’t enough space for her to attend the service at the Washington National Cathedral. “I was going to take the train down. I wanted to pay my respects,” said Sharon. “But I paid my respects by raising three wonderful children during a 23-year marriage.” Instead of attending the funeral, she reportedly had lunch with socialite Anne Hearst and Cynthia Germanotta, Lady Gaga’s mom. She hit out at Neil Bush, telling Page Six: “I taught [the kids] everything they know about ‘points of light’ by taking them to soup kitchens and homeless shelters from the time they were 4 years old. I didn’t want them spoiled... I did this. Neil was never around. He was always traveling.”
