The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its seven 2019 inductees Thursday, choosing The Cure, Def Leppard, Stevie Nicks, Janet Jackson, Radiohead, Roxy Music, and The Zombies to earn the genre’s highest honor. NPR reports that Nicks was already in the Hall of Fame for her time in Fleetwood Mac—but that she has now also earned a place as an individual. “I have a lot to say about this~ but I will save those words for later,” Nicks wrote on Twitter. “For now I will just say, I have been in a band since 1968. To be recognized for my solo work makes me take a deep breath and smile. It’s a glorious feeling.” The winners were chosen from the pool of 15 nominees by “over 1,000” past winners and influential musicians, in a notoriously opaque process. The induction ceremony will take place on March 29, 2019, at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
