Study: Eat Mediterranean Food

In case you needed more of a reason to imbibe in the delicious cuisine coming out of the Mediterranean here it is: A new study found that 30 percent of heart attacks, strokes and deaths from heart disease could be prevented if high-risk people switched to a diet full of olive oil, fish, nuts, beans, fruit and veggies. The New England Journal of Medicine published the findings, which clearly show the benefits of Mediterranean food. A spokeswoman for American Heart Association called it "really impressive" and experts were shocked at the magnitude of benefits gleaned from these foods. Eat up!
