A suspect was arrested Sunday in connection with an early afternoon shooting at a Nevada Mormon church that left one person dead and another seriously wounded, according to ABC8. Fallon Police Chief Kevin Gehman claimed that the suspect, who has not been identified, walked into the local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, fired his gun, then returned home before later surrendering to authorities. The chief added that although “It’s really too early to understand the motive,” it appears as if the killer intended to attack one person, not the church as a whole. Although the victim's name has already been publicized online, said Fallon's mayor, he hoped to give the family time to process before releasing it publicly. “Our hearts go out to family members of those who have lost someone and those who were in the church today where the tragedy occurred,” he said.
