A Tennessee man who is the subject of a statewide manhunt after a deadly hatchet attack on a fitness-center manager was also recently arrested by the Secret Service near the White House, officials say. Authorities are searching for Domenic Micheli, 36, who is suspected of killing 46-year-old Joel Paavola in Nashville on Monday. Records show Micheli was arrested on April 27 in Washington, D.C., after he drove his car to a checkpoint near the White House and refused to move, according to the Secret Service. “[It’s] just a senseless, brutal, violent attack this morning on Mr. Paavola as he was there in the business,” said Don Aaron of the Metro Nashville Police Department. Paavola is reported to have fired Micheli about 14 months ago, police said.
