The AUDRA Spring / Summer 2018 collection, designed by Audra Danielle Noyes, centers on rebirth, commemorating the turning points women meet and embrace in their own lives.

To explore the theme, Noyes approached photographer Sophie Elgort to capture what rebirth meant to six women.

Chloe King, digital fashion content manager: "I've had a rebirth of my own in the past year with the changing political climate. I always thought I wasn't old enough to be involved, and then everything happened and I realized I wasn't doing my part. Not only was I capable, but I wasn't doing my job by letting other people do the work."

Solange Franklin, stylist: "I've recently had quite a few rebirths and changes in my life. I got married, I turned 30, I started my own business. But nothing was forced; It all felt right. It was a shift in my life, not a breach."

Paulina Reyes, creative director, Plated: "The word 'movement' comes to mind when I think about rebirth. Dancing and movement has always been a part of my life: ballet, contemporary dance, the aerial arts, and, now, the tango. This stage feels more grown-up. It's showed me another part of myself, another dialogue. But each of these stages originates from the same place of movement, they've just been reborn in different forms."

Courtney Celeste Spears, professional dancer and 2015 Princess Grace Award Winner: "To me, rebirth is more of a sense of elevation. I've always had these parts of me, they've always been there, but now they've been elevated and changed."

Tara Levy, founder, TL Projects: "Women go through so many transformations throughout their lives. It doesn't have to be something huge, but it has to be something that feels right. I just started my own company which is big, but to me it just felt natural. That was the next step."

Kerry O'Brien, founder, designer & CEO, Commando: "I'm a complete believer in turning points. Turning points happen, but sometimes you make them happen. I quit a job where I had been successful. I walked away because it was time, but now, in this new chapter, I've found what I want to do. Sometimes you need a self-induced turning point. Just because you're good at one thing doesn't mean you won't be good at others."
