Three young caretakers at a Georgia assisted living facility were charged with “exploiting an elderly and disabled person” after they allegedly videotaped a disabled woman’s death for a Snapchat video called “The End,” according to the New York Daily News. While waiting for a hospice nurse to arrive to aid a 76-year-old patient who had a stroke, Jorden Lanah Bruce, Mya Janai Moss, and Lizeth Jocelyn Cervantes Ramirez “were supposed to closely monitor the patient,” according to a spokesperson for the Jefferson Police Department. Instead, one of the three allegedly smoked a vape pen, and all three were allegedly swearing and “making obscene gestures” while they filmed the patient’s death. “They were completely ignoring her and posting the Snapchat video,” the spokesperson added. The trio was eventually reported by another employee. Two of the employees have since been released on bond, the Daily News added, but one has been detained for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
