Trial for Men Charged With Plotting 9/11 Attacks Set for 2021

The joint death-penalty trial for Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and four other men charged in plotting the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks that killed 2,976 people in New York, D.C., and Pennsylvania has been set for Jan. 11, 2021. On that date, a military jury will be chosen at the war court compound at the Navy base in Guantánamo Bay. Prosecutors must provide the defense teams with materials by Oct. 1 of this year.
