President Trump took to Twitter late Saturday night, just hours after a deadly mass shooting in Pittsburgh, to criticize the Los Angeles Dodgers’ pitching moves during World Series Game 4. While most of the country was still reeling after a gunman killed 11 people in one of the worst anti-Semitic attacks on U.S. soil, Trump was apparently analyzing the mid-game decisions of Los Angeles Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts. “Watching the Dodgers/Red Sox final innings,” Trump tweeted. “It is amazing how a manager takes out a pitcher who is loose & dominating through almost 7 innings, Rich Hill of Dodgers, and brings in nervous reliever(s) who get shellacked. 4 run lead gone. Managers do it all the time, big mistake!” he wrote. The president had vowed earlier in the day to not let the Pittsburgh synagogue attack “change our life and change our schedule.” Roberts was reportedly surprised by Trump’s remarks but said after the game Saturday that he was “happy he was tuning in.” But he went on to say, ““I don’t know how many Dodgers’ games he’s watched. I don’t think he was privy to the conversation.”
