Trump: I Won’t Sign ‘More Moderate’ Immigration Bill

SAY WHAT?

A WH official later said Trump misunderstood the question and actually supports either bill.

President Donald Trump said he would not sign a compromise immigration bill during an impromptu interview with Fox & Friends on Friday. “I'm looking at both of them. I certainly wouldn't sign the more moderate one,” he said of the two immigration bills that the House will vote on next week. A White House official later told The Hill that the president supports both bills and misunderstood the question. The bill he initially denounced Friday was drafted by Republican leaders and would provide protections for DREAMers and funding for a border wall. Trump also tweeted a list of provisions he thinks should be included in an immigration bill and blamed Democrats for separating families at the border.
