Former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman has told at least three Trump aides that she heard the president using a racial slur in an audio clip played for her by a former contestant of The Apprentice, HuffPost reports. The claim—the latest grenade toss in a bitter feud between Manigault Newman and Trump—came after the president took to Twitter to deny having ever used racial slurs while on the set of the reality show. While Manigault Newman wrote in her upcoming book that she had heard rumors of Trump using the “N-word” but had never personally heard him use the word, she provided a different account in an MSNBC interview late Monday. She told host Chris Matthews that she had personally heard a three-minute clip of Trump using racist language to discuss former Apprentice contestant Kwame Jackson—and that producer Bill Pruitt has a tape of the incident. Separately, she told several White House aides the audio was played for her at the White House just before her dismissal by another former Apprentice contestant, Troy McClain, according to HuffPost. Trump has flat out denied the claims. “[Chairman of MGM Worldwide Television Group Mark Burnett] called to say that there are NO TAPES of the Apprentice where I used such a terrible and disgusting word as attributed by Wacky and Deranged Omarosa,” he wrote Monday.
