President Trump said Monday he would like the FBI to conduct a “comprehensive investigation” into the sexual-assault accusations against Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh, adding that it “wouldn't bother [him] at all” if the agency interviewed all three of Kavanaugh’s accusers. “I want them to do a very comprehensive investigation, whatever that means according to the senators and the Republicans,” he said. “That being said, I would like it to go quickly... It’s unfair to him.” When asked by reporters if Kavanaugh’s third accuser, Julie Swetnick, should be interviewed by the FBI, Trump said it wouldn’t “bother” him so long as her claims were “credible.” “We don’t want to go on a witch hunt, do we?” the president said. Swetnick accused Kavanaugh of being at a party where she was allegedly gang raped. On Saturday, it was reported that Swetnick was not going to be interviewed by the FBI at the request of the White House. Kavanaugh has also been accused of sexual misconduct by Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez, whose claims will be probed during the week-long FBI investigation.
