Uber Rider Slapped With $600 Fare After I-95 Snowstorm Shutdown

One unlucky passenger had an expensive insult added to injury earlier this week after he endured hours stuck on Interstate-95 in the midst of a snowstorm, as did hundreds of others like Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA). Andrew Peters said that when he got home to Richmond from Dulles Airport, he received a $600 bill from Uber for the ride. Peters—who was returning from San Francisco, where Uber is headquartered—is disputing the charge with the company.
