U.S. Man Gets Life for Brutal Attack on Tourists at German ‘Disney’ Castle
VICIOUS
An American man was sentenced to life in prison by a German court on Monday for a shocking attack on two young U.S. women at the picturesque Neuschwanstein Castle, on which Walt Disney’s Cinderella castle is based. Troy Philipp B., whose full name has not been released due to German law, met the two American women, ages 21 and 22, at the castle last June. He lured them to a nearby tourist viewpoint and then pinned the 21-year-old to the ground to rape her. When her friend tried to stop him, he shoved the 22-year-old off a 165-foot drop. Then, according to investigators, he filmed himself raping the 21-year-old and strangling her with a belt. When two other tourists intervened, he threw the unconscious 21-year-old into the gorge. The two of them were airlifted to the hospital by helicopter, where the younger one died of her injuries. The suspect was arrested shortly after, and he ultimately pleaded guilty to his crimes.
