A British woman has given birth to triplets—one conceived through IVF while she was unknowingly already pregnant with twins. “It was the biggest miracle,” Beata Bienias, 36, told London’s Daily Mirror. Bienias had struggled to get pregnant because of polycystic ovarian syndrome and underwent fertility treatment. Two days before the embryo transfer, she had intercourse and conceived. She went for her first ultrasound expecting to see one fetus. “When I sat down the sonographer told me not to be nervous if they couldn't see anything the first time,” she said. “But then she turned to my husband and asked if he wanted to sit down. He said he would stay standing—and then she told us there were three babies on the scan.”
