Women’s March Leaders Arrested at Trump Tower

More than a dozen protesters were arrested Wednesday outside the Trump International Hotel and Tower during a “Day Without a Woman” rally. According to the Twitter account of Women’s March, the protest’s organizer, those taken into custody included protest leaders Tamika Mallory, Linda Sarsour, Carmen Perez, and Bob Bland. The NYPD confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that at least 13 people were arrested during the demonstration, which gathered outside Trump’s Fifth Avenue residence before declaring that it was “blocking traffic as a form of civil disobedience in Columbus Circle,” where another Trump-owned luxury high-rise building is located.
