Woody Allen Snubs Carla Bruni-Sarkozy?

Is Carla Bruni-Sarkozy heartbroken over Woody Allen? The Daily Mail reports that the French first lady has been sidelined in Allen’s upcoming movie—and that Marion Cotillard will star in the movie instead. Allen had previously told Bruni-Sarkozy that she was a “natural” pick for the film. But Allen has reportedly backtracked, saying, “Carla Bruni is not a woman who earns her living as an actress. She is a first lady […] I have to take account of the risks that could be.” Bruni will reportedly still cameo in the film, which also stars Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams. It seems like her workload is a good reason to minimize her involvement in the movie, but The Daily Mail reports that Cotillard “eclipsing” Bruni in the role will “be viewed as a massive humiliation to the first lady.”
