World Heath Org: Europe Will See Surge in COVID-19 Deaths Soon

The continent reported 51,000 new cases on Friday alone but deaths have remained stable.

Europe is in the midst of a coronavirus surge, but it has not seen an increase in the daily number of deaths. The World Health Organization warned Monday that’s about to change. “It’s going to get tougher. In October, November, we are going to see more mortality,” WHO Europe director Hans Kluge told Agence France Presse. Europe reported more than 51,000 new cases on Friday alone, surpassing the previous record in April.
