A woman has filed a lawsuit against Yahoo and accused a high-level female executive of sexual harassment. Nan Shi states in her complaint that her supervisor, Maria Zhang, forced her to have sex against her will on multiple occasions. Zhang allegedly promised Shi a “bright future at Yahoo” if she complied and coerced her into having “oral and digital sex.” When Shi finally rebuffed Zhang’s advances, Zhang apparently retaliated by giving Shi a bad performance review and removing her as project lead. Shi then reported the abuse to Yahoo, but, according to her, the company did nothing and put her on unpaid leave that eventually ended in final termination on Friday. Shi’s lawsuit names three causes for damages: sexual harassment, intentional infliction of emotional distress and wrongful termination.
