A Georgia activist who has repeatedly run for political official and headed up anti-violence initiatives has been arrested on charges of kidnapping, gun possession, assault and battery, and cruelty to children. No details about Zeph Baker’s alleged crimes were released. The Democrat has run for mayor of Columbus three times and the state legislature, as recently as last year, but has never won. He is also a former pastor who operated a group home for youth, according to WRBL.
