Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg has agreed to have Tuesday’s meeting with leaders of the European Parliament broadcast live. The meetup was long expected to be private, but many in the bloc’s body called for an on-air grilling so EU citizens could see Zuckerberg answer questions about Facebook’s role in the recent data-harvesting scandal. European Parliament President Antonio Tajani said he’d spoken to Zuckerberg about broadcasting the session live. “I have personally discussed with Facebook CEO Mr. Zuckerberg the possibility of webstreaming meeting with him,” he said. “I am glad to announce that he has accepted this new request. Great news for EU citizens. I thank him for the respect shown towards EP.”
