1,000 Boston Kids Walkout Over Budget

More than 1,000 Boston public school students left their classes Monday to protest proposed budget cuts. The city's public schools face a budget shortfall of roughly $50 million, due in part to a decline in federal and state aid. "Our education, not your money," students reportedly chanted as they gathered at the Boston Common. Several scuffles broke out as police attempted to disperse the crowd.
