A stampede in a southwestern Moroccan town on Sunday killed 15 people and injured five others, most of whom were women, Reuters reported. The stampede broke out while food aid was being distributed in a local market. While similar food aid distributions had been organized before, about 1,000 people reportedly showed up and stormed an iron barrier, which crushed several women. A criminal investigation into the incident has been opened.
