The death toll from the storms that swept across the South on Wednesday has risen to 15, officials said on Friday. The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said that it had received reports of an eighth death in that state due to this week’s severe weather. Six people in Tennessee and one person in Arkansas also died in the storms.
