Authorities said Wednesday two children were killed when a passenger boat collided with a fishing vessel and capsized in western Kenya's Lake Victoria. Fishermen who responded to distress calls rescued 21 of the 23 people on board the passenger boat and recovered the bodies of the children, a local official said. Earlier reports suggested there were 200 people on board at the time of the collision but local authorities confirmed there were 21 passengers. All four people on board the fishing vessel, which also capsized, survived. Both boats were recovered from the lake.
