Three more men were arrested Wednesday in connection to the occupation of an Oregon federal wildlife refuge, the FBI said in a statement early Thursday. Authorities established a series of checkpoints in and around the area before eight people left the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. Of those eight, five people were released and three were arrested “without incident.” Duane Leo Ehmer, 45, and Dylan Wade Anderson, 34, and Jason S. Patrick, 43, were arrested. All three were in contact with the FBI and opted to surrender, the statement said. The FBI said the three men face a felony charge of conspiracy to impede officers. The three arrests follow Tuesday’s arrest of eight people, including the group’s leader Ammon Bundy. During those arrests, Robert “LaVoy” Finicum was also killed in a shootout with police.
