On Saturday 30,000 people marched through Moscow to commemorate the slaying of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov last year. The crowd chanted "Russia will be free" and some carried signs saying "I am not afraid." Nemtsov, who was a major critic of President Vladimir Putin, was shot to death as he and a companion walked over a bridge near the Kremlin.
