At least 40 people were killed Saturday after two suicide bombers struck a cemetery in Damascus in an attack reportedly targeting Shiite pilgrims. In addition to the 40 people killed, at least another 120 were wounded, according to Syria’s interior minister. Opposition activists put the death toll at 46. Syria’s state news agency, SANA, said the attack occurred near the Bab al-Saghir cemetery, where several religious figures are buried. Ahmed Jamal, a spokesman for Iraq's foreign ministry, said most of the victims in the blast were Iraqis visiting Shiite shrines. Iraqi authorities are working with the Syrian government to identify the victims and bring them back to Iraq, he said. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
