Gunmen dressed in military uniforms busted into a government council building in Tikrit, Iraq on Tuesday and killed at least 56 people. They were strapped with suicide bombs and attempting to take hostages, officials said, which resulted in a shootout between the gunmen and Iraqi security forces surrounding the building. The attackers also launched grenades from the building at Iraqi forces below. Sabah al-Bazi, a journalist for Al-Arabiya TV and freelancer for CNN was found among the dead. Police have announced a curfew as security forces enter the building where the gunmen have overtaken the second floor.
