Two fishing ships were smashed into the rocks off South Korea on Tuesday, killing five. The powerful typhoons have caused problems across the country, knocking out electricity for hundreds of thousands of South Koreans and causing the deaths of at least three more people. The storm has also grounded flights and put a halt to scheduled war games organized by the American and South Korean militaries. Typhoon Bolaven’s heavy winds and rain moved toward North Korea on Tuesday, where the government and civilians were still working to recover after recent heavy floods that devastated the country.
