Mexican police in Acapulco reported Thursday the death of a 4 year old—the fifth child victim of the deadly drug war in the past week. Police said the girl’s body was found next to a 30-year-old woman, and the pair were reportedly gagged and shot execution-style. The police did not release the names of the victims or a reason for their slayings. At least five children have been killed in Acapulco since Sunday, including a 2-year-old boy and a 6-year-old boy killed with an elderly woman who tried to shield them when a gunman opened fire at their home. The same day, two 15-year-olds were killed in separate attacks. Also Thursday, police reported finding a man’s body, riddled with bullets, outside a state prison in Acapulco.
