A suicide bombing at the main Pakistan-India border crossing on Sunday has killed at least 55 people and wounded more than 120. The bombing took place at the Wagah border gate near Lahore after a display of military pageantry. The “flag-lowering” ceremony usually attracts thousands of viewers every day. Mushtaq Sukhera, the Punjab police chief, said the blast happened when a suicide attacker approached a restaurant after the Wagah ceremony and detonated his explosives. At least three jihadi militant organizations, including banned terrorist group Jundullah, have claimed responsibility for the attack.
