Turkey’s state-run news agency reported 14 migrants, including seven children, drowned off the northern Turkish Aegean coast early Wednesday. Turkish coast guard divers were searching waters for more victims after a boat carrying the migrants sank off the coast of Ayvacik, a central crossing point to the Greek island of Lesbos, according to the Anadolu Agency. The migrants’ nationalities were not immediately known, but 27 other migrants were reportedly rescued.
