War is far from over in Iraq. At least 75 people have been killed in attacks across the country, with 18 fatalities from the bombing at a funeral for a member of a Sunni militia that helped the US government. Multiple car bombs also went off near busy markets in the Baghdad area, and a suicide bomber destroyed a bridge near the town of Saqlawiya. At the same time, al Qaeda-linked militants have gained further territory in the Anbar province during one of the bloodiest days in months.
