Seventy-six percent of people in a Washington Post–ABC News poll think the economy is "still in recession," a majority that could hurt President Obama's reelection effort. It doesn’t matter that this is not necessarily true, or that the majority of American’s don’t fully understand the meaning of a recession. Just the impression the economy is still suffering in the same way it was when Obama took office is enough to make him look bad.
