The U.S. on Saturday transferred nine Yemeni prisoners from Guantanamo Bay to Saudi Arabia. The move was long in the making; the U.S. government began trying to persuade the Saudis to take the prisoners during the Bush administration. This brings the number of detainees at Guantanamo Bay to 80. The Obama administration has expressed the desire to close the wartime prison.
