9-Year-Old Targeted, Killed in Chicago

Chicago Police Superintendent Gary McCarthy said on Thursday that a 9-year-old boy, Tyshawn Lee, who was killed on Monday was specifically executed after being lured into an alley. The child was targeted because of his father's gang ties, and the father is currently not cooperating with police. The police are looking into whether Lee was murdered in retaliation for his father's possible involvement in the recent death of at least two members of a rival gang.
