More than 9 million people signed up for Obamacare during the latest period of open enrollment which began on Nov. 1 and ended on Jan. 31, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) said Friday. The figure, 9.2 million in total, does not include the number of people who signed up via 11 different state exchanges. The number falls short of the 9.6 million who signed up last year. The CMS added that 3 million of the 9.2 million enrollees were “new consumers.”
