Malik Taylor, the rapper best known as Phife Dawg, died Wednesday, Rolling Stone reported. Taylor helped boost A Tribe Called Quest to success. He was 45 years old at the time of his death. He had a slew of health problems over the years, including a longtime battle with Type 1 diabetes that led to a kidney transplant in 2008. The rapper released one solo album—Ventilation: Da LP—in 2000.
