Benita Veliz speaks on the fear of being deported.

Speaking on behalf of the DREAM Act, Benita Veliz told the story of how she immigrated illegally as a child to San Antonio, Texas, was her high school valedictorian at 16, and graduated from college with two degrees at age 20. "I know I have something to contribute to my economy and my country. I feel just as American as any of my friends or neighbors," she said. "But I've had to live almost my entire life knowing I could be deported just because of the way I came here."
