Buffalo Wild Wings said Thursday it would discontinue airing commercials featuring comedian Steve Rannazzisi after The League star admitted to lying about escaping the World Trade Center during the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The 37-year-old apologized Wednesday after The New York Times confronted him with evidence that his story of working at Merrill Lynch’s offices in the South Tower when the North Tower was hit was false. “As a young man, I made a mistake that I deeply regret and for which apologies may still not be enough,” he said.
