Michigan state representatives Todd Courser and Cindy Gamrat will run for their old seats again in a special election, they announced Friday. The Tea Party duo were pilloried by colleagues after an affair between them was revealed—especially because Courser had earlier claimed he was bisexual and solicited sex from a man in order to make his affair with Gamrat seem tame by comparison. Gamrat was expelled from the legislature while Courser resigned after several close expulsion votes. “It really was up to my wife,” Courser said. “Yesterday, she gave me the go-ahead. She said yes, run. She said the people haven’t had the opportunity to weigh in on this.”
