At least 25 people were killed and 15 others injured in a suicide car-bomb attack near a U.S. base in Afghanistan’s southeastern Khost province Sunday. A car bomber detonated explosives at a checkpoint near Camp Chapman, where a 2009 suicide attack left seven CIA operatives dead in one of the worst attacks in agency history. It was not immediately clear if any American personnel were at the base Sunday, but the U.S. military said none of its personnel were hurt. The victims were reportedly all civilians, according to Afghan Gen. Faizullah Ghairat.
