Air America, the liberal radio network that launched in 2004, has filed for Chapter 7 and will cease its live programming on Thursday afternoon. Chairman Charlie Kireker said in a memo that “national and local advertising revenues have fallen drastically” and that the network was done in by a “perfect storm” in the media climate. Over the years, Air America personalities include Al Franken and Rachel Maddow.
