Al Green is expected to perform at a fundraiser for President Obama in California on Thursday. Novelist Robert Mailer Anderson and his wife, Nicola Miner, are hosting the event at their home. Obama performed an impressive rendition of Green's classic "Let's Stay Together" at the Apollo last month, but the chances that the two will perform a duet are slim, his representative says. The event—for which guests are paying $38,500 each—is one of eight star-studded fundraisers the president will be hitting on his three-day tour of California and Washington state this week.
