Iraq's Abu Ghraib is in the news once again. This time, it's because hundreds of inmates, including a handful of senior al Qaeda members, broke out of the jail after a deadly, military-style attack on the facility. Suicide bombers were able to drive trucks filed with explosives up to the gate while gunmen lobbed rocket-propelled grenades and mortars at the guards. Ten policemen and four militants were killed in the fighting, which stretched into Monday morning. Iraqi officials weren't able to secure the site until military helicopters arrived, but by that time hundreds of prisoners had escaped.
